Description

Liqui Moly Special Tec F ECO 5W-20 is a synthetic low-viscosity oil developed for Ford petrol engines, including EcoBoost, that require the Ford WSS-M2C948-B specification. The oil maker does not recommend it for certain Ford Ka versions or for the Focus ST/RS with the 2.5 Duratec-ST engine.

It carries ACEA C5 and API SN and holds official Ford WSS-M2C948-B approval. The oil is backward compatible with several earlier Ford specifications and meets JLR STJLR.03.5004 without formal approval.

Typical figures: viscosity 8.3 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 160, HTHS at least 2.6 mPa·s, NOACK 11 %, pour point -39 °C, sulphated ash no more than 0.8 %. Pack sizes from 1 to 205 litres.

Application

Ford petrol engines, including EcoBoost, whose manufacturer requires Ford WSS-M2C948-B; not for certain Ford Ka versions or the Focus ST/RS with the 2.5 Duratec-ST engine.
