Description

Castrol TRANSMAX Axle Long Life 75W-140 is a fully synthetic oil from the TRANSMAX line for final drives, differentials and drive axles in cars and commercial vehicles. It is most often used in Scania axles.

The oil is rated API GL-5 and holds the official Scania STO 2:0 A approval; Scania includes it in its list of oils for extended drain intervals.

Typical figures: 25 mm²/s at 100 °C and 182 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 170, pour point -54 °C, flash point 234 °C.

An extended drain interval applies only where the vehicle manufacturer allows it.

Application

Differentials and drive axles in cars and commercial vehicles, above all Scania axles that require an oil approved to Scania STO 2:0 A for extended drain intervals.
