Description
Liqui Moly Fully Synthetic Hypoid Gear Oil (GL5) LS SAE 75W-140 is a fully synthetic gear oil for heavily loaded final drives. Its friction modifiers (LS) prevent stick-slip of the clutch plates in limited-slip differentials.
It carries API GL-5 and holds no official approvals. The manufacturer states that it meets the requirements of Ford WSL-M2C192-A, Scania STO 1:0, VME and ZF TE-ML 05D, 12D, 16G and 21D, as well as BMW rear-axle oil requirements.
Typical figures: 25 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 172, pour point -51 °C. Available in 0.5, 1, 20 and 60 litre packs.
Application
Heavily loaded final drives with or without a limited-slip differential, including BMW rear axles.
