Description
Liqui Moly MoS2 Leichtlauf 10W-40 is a semi-synthetic engine oil with the solid lubricant molybdenum disulphide (MoS2). It is intended for petrol and diesel engines and is meant to give them extra protection during start-up and warm-up, under heavy load and in stop-and-go traffic.
It holds no official approvals; the manufacturer gives recommendations only, to ACEA A3/B4 and API SL.
Typical figures: viscosity 14.6 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 165, HTHS at least 3.5 mPa·s, NOACK 10 %, pour point -36 °C. Pack sizes from 1 to 205 litres.
With sulphated ash of 1.0-1.6 %, the oil is not intended for cars with a particulate filter.
Application
Petrol and diesel engines without a particulate filter, including frequent starts, long warm-up, heavy loads and stop-and-go traffic.
