Description

Liqui Moly Special Tec 5W-30 is a fuel-economy engine oil on a hydrocracked base for passenger cars. Today it is used mainly in Ford petrol and diesel engines, and wherever the carmaker specifies ACEA A1/B1.

The oil carries ACEA A1/B1, API SL and ILSAC GF-2. It holds official Ford WSS-M2C912-A1, Ford WSS-M2C913-A and Ford WSS-M2C913-B approvals, and meets the requirements of Fiat 9.55535-G1 without formal approval.

Typical figures: 9.7 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 170, HTHS 2.9-3.5 mPa·s, NOACK 12.0 %, pour point -42 °C. Available in 1 and 5 litre packs.

Because of its reduced HTHS, it belongs only in engines where the carmaker permits A1/B1.

Application

Petrol and diesel engines in Ford cars, and in other makes whose owner's handbook calls for an ACEA A1/B1 oil.
