Description

Mobil 1 ESP 5W-30 is a fully synthetic mid-ash (Mid SAPS) oil in the Mobil 1 range, compatible with DPF and GPF particulate filters and with catalytic converters.

It holds official VW 504.00, VW 507.00, MB 229.51, MB 229.52, BMW Longlife-04 and Porsche C30 approvals and meets the requirements of Fiat 9.55535-S3, Opel OV0401547-D30 and Opel OV0401547-G30 without formal approval. It is rated ACEA C3; where ACEA C2 is specified ExxonMobil recommends it, though without the fuel-economy benefit that C2 brings. API categories are SQ, SP, SN Plus and SN, including LSPI protection.

Typical figures: 12 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 171, pour point -42 °C. Extended drain intervals only where the car maker permits them.

Application

Modern petrol, diesel and hybrid cars, SUVs and light vans with a particulate filter or catalyst, notably BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, VW Group and Opel, and Asian vehicles specifying 5W-30 to one of its standards.
