Description

Liqui Moly Special Tec DX1 5W-30 is a fully synthetic engine oil for GM and Opel petrol engines that need a dexos1-type oil. According to the manufacturer, its additive package reduces the risk of low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) in turbocharged engines.

It carries API SQ, API SN RC and ILSAC GF-7A. It holds no car-maker approvals: the manufacturer states that it meets GM dexos1 Gen 3, Chrysler MS-6395, Fiat 9.55535-CR1, Ford WSS-M2C946-A, Ford WSS-M2C946-B1 and Ford WSS-M2C961-A1, and it is also recommended for GWM, HAVAL, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Nissan, Toyota and Wuling vehicles.

Typical figures: viscosity 10.8 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 170, HTHS above 2.9 mPa·s, sulphated ash 0.9 %. Pack sizes from 1 to 205 litres.

Application

GM and Opel petrol engines that need a dexos1-type oil; also certain Chrysler, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Nissan and Toyota models that specify a similar 5W-30 oil.
