Description
Motul HYBRID 0W-12 is a fully synthetic engine oil from the Hybrid line for the petrol engines of hybrid and plug-in hybrid passenger cars. It also suits the petrol generator engines that extend the range of electric cars.
The product page lists no API or ACEA categories and no car-maker approvals: the oil is defined only by its SAE 0W-12 viscosity grade.
Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 6.2 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 149, HTHS 2.1 mPa·s, pour point -42 °C, base number 8.5 mg KOH/g, sulphated ash 0.89 %. Available in 1 litre.
Use it only where the engine manufacturer specifies 0W-12.
Application
Petrol engines in hybrid and plug-in hybrid cars, and petrol range-extender engines in electric cars, where the manufacturer (Toyota, Honda) specifies an SAE 0W-12 oil.
