Description

Motul SPECIFIC 17 5W-30 is a fully synthetic, mid-SAPS engine oil from the Specific line. It is intended for modern Renault, Dacia and Samsung petrol and diesel engines. Per the data sheet, RN17 also covers Renault's two earlier general petrol and diesel standards.

The oil is rated ACEA C3 and holds official Renault RN17 approval; it meets the requirements of MB 226.52 without official approval.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 12.1 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 187, HTHS 3.6 mPa·s, pour point -45 °C, base number 8.7 mg KOH/g, sulphated ash 0.80 %. Available in 20 litres.

It is not intended for earlier Renault diesels that call for a separate particulate-filter standard.

Application

Modern Renault, Dacia and Samsung petrol and diesel engines where the manufacturer requires an oil with Renault RN17 approval.
