Description

Shell Rimula R3 10W is a Rimula monograde engine oil of SAE 10W viscosity for the diesel engines of off-highway machinery and earlier-generation road vehicles. It is also used in transmissions and hydraulic systems where the maker calls for an engine oil, and in continuously running stationary units.

The oil is rated API CF; no vehicle-maker approvals are listed.

Typical figures: 7 mm²/s at 100 °C, 43 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 122, pour point -33 °C, flash point 219 °C. It is not intended for Detroit Diesel two-stroke engines.

Application

Off-highway machinery and earlier on-road diesels, transmissions and hydraulic systems for which the maker specifies an engine oil, and continuously running stationary equipment such as pumps.
