77 Lubricants Motor Oil XT 5W-30 is a fully synthetic mid-SAPS engine oil for the petrol and diesel engines of cars and vans, primarily those of the VW Group.

It is rated API SP and ACEA C3 and meets the requirements of VW 504.00, VW 507.00, MB 229.51, MB 229.52 and BMW Longlife-04. It holds no official manufacturer approvals.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 12.2 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 164, pour point -36 °C, sulphated ash 0.79 %.

The maker advises against it for five- and ten-cylinder TDI engines and for pump-injector diesels specified for an oil to the earlier Longlife standard, and for cars under warranty recommends the officially approved oils of the Motor Oil VX line.
