Castrol EDGE 0W-30 A3/B4

Description

Castrol EDGE 0W-30 A3/B4 is a fully synthetic, full-SAPS oil in the EDGE range for petrol and diesel car engines. The 0W winter grade makes cold starts easier.

It is rated API SL and ACEA A3/B4 and holds official BMW Longlife-01, MB 229.5, Renault RN0700, Renault RN0710, VW 502.00 and VW 505.00 approvals. According to the manufacturer, it meets the requirements of MB 229.3 without formal approval.

Typical figures: 12.2 mm²/s at 100 °C, 63 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 197, sulphated ash 1.13 %, pour point -45 °C.

As a full-SAPS oil, it is not intended for cars whose manufacturer requires a low-ash C-category oil.

Application

Petrol and diesel cars with no particulate-filter restrictions that call for ACEA A3/B4, BMW Longlife-01, MB 229.5, or VW 502.00 or 505.00.
