Description

Castrol EDGE 0W-20 C5 is a fully synthetic, low-viscosity oil in the EDGE range for petrol and diesel car engines. Its mid-SAPS formulation is compatible with particulate filters, and the 0W-20 grade is aimed at saving fuel.

It is rated ACEA C5 and C6, API SQ and ILSAC GF-7, and holds official GM dexos1 Gen 3, JLR STJLR.03.5006, MB 229.71 and Opel OV0401547-A20 approvals. It meets the requirements of Chrysler MS-6395, Fiat 9.55535-CR1, Fiat 9.55535-GSX, Ford WSS-M2C947-A, Ford WSS-M2C947-B1 and Ford WSS-M2C962-A1 without formal approval.

Typical figures: 8.2 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 166, sulphated ash 0.78 %, pour point -42 °C.

Application

Current petrol and diesel cars, including small turbocharged engines, where the manufacturer calls for ACEA C5 or C6, or for a 0W-20 oil with dexos1 Gen 3 or MB 229.71 approval.
