Description

Elf Evolution 900 SXR 5W-40 is a synthetic, full-ash engine oil for petrol engines and for turbocharged or naturally aspirated diesels in cars and light vans that have no exhaust after-treatment system.

The oil is rated ACEA A3/B4 and API SP and holds official MB 229.5, Renault RN0700, Renault RN0710, Stellantis FPW9.55535/10, VW 502.00 and VW 505.00 approvals. It meets the requirements of MB 226.5 and Chrysler MS-12991 without official approval.

Typical data-sheet figures: 14.7 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 172, pour point -42 °C, base number 10 mg KOH/g. Pack sizes from 1 to 208 litres.

It is not intended for diesels with a particulate filter.

Application

Petrol engines, and turbocharged or naturally aspirated diesels in cars and light vans without exhaust after-treatment.
