Description

Mobil 1 FS 5W-40 is a synthetic full-ash (Full SAPS) oil in the Mobil 1 range for petrol and diesel engines in passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, high-mileage ones included. The manufacturer states that it copes with fuel of varying quality.

It carries official BMW Longlife-01, MB 229.3, MB 229.5, VW 502.00, VW 505.00, Porsche A40, Renault RN0700 and Renault RN0710 approvals. It is rated ACEA A3/B4, API SQ, SP, SN Plus, SN and CF, and AAE Group B7.

Typical figures: 13.2 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 170, pour point -40 °C.

It is not recommended for vehicles with a particulate filter or other exhaust after-treatment systems.

Application

Petrol and direct-injection diesel engines in cars and light commercial vehicles without exhaust after-treatment, including those past 100,000 km, with extended intervals where the car maker allows them.
