Description

Motul 8100 X-CESS GEN2 5W-40 is a fully synthetic full-SAPS engine oil from the 8100 line with a high base number. It suits petrol and diesel cars that do not need a low-SAPS oil.

It is rated ACEA A3/B4 and API SQ and holds official BMW Longlife-01, MB 226.5, MB 229.5, Porsche A40, Renault RN0700, Renault RN0710, VW 502.00 and VW 505.00 approvals. It also meets GM-LL-B-025, PSA B71 2296, Chrysler MS-12991, Fiat 9.55535-H2, Fiat 9.55535-M2, Fiat 9.55535-N2 and Fiat 9.55535-Z2 without official approval.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 13.5 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 169, HTHS 3.8 mPa·s, base number 12.5 mg KOH/g, sulphated ash 1.07 %. Available in 1 to 208 litres.
