Description
Elf HTX Generation 15W-40 is an oil from the HTX classic-car range intended for younger classics, the so-called youngtimers of the late 20th century. Its additive package is matched to the engine design of that generation.
The oil is rated API SL and CF; the data sheet gives no carmaker approvals.
It resists oxidation and high temperatures, so it keeps its properties while the engine runs hot. Typical figures: 14.1 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 138, pour point -36 °C, base number 8.8 mg KOH/g. Available in 5 litre packs.

Younger classic cars (youngtimers), mostly built in the closing decades of the 20th century.
