Description

Mobil 1 Hybrid 0W-20 is a low-viscosity synthetic oil in the Mobil 1 range for petrol hybrid cars, where the engine stops and restarts frequently.

It is rated API SQ and SQ RC, SP and SP RC, SN Plus and SN Plus RC, as well as SM, SL and SJ, ILSAC GF-7A and ACEA C5 and C6. The data sheet lists no official car-maker approvals.

Typical figures: 8.5 mm²/s at 100 °C, 45 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 169, pour point -48 °C.

According to the data sheet, the oil protects downsized turbocharged engines against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) and stops water and fuel that reach the oil from causing deposits and corrosion.

Application

Petrol hybrid cars, mostly of American and Asian makes, whose maker requires SAE 0W-20 to API SQ, ILSAC GF-7A or ACEA C5/C6, including frequent stop-start running and turbocharged direct-injection engines.
