Description
Motul 300V COMPETITION 10W-40 is a fully synthetic, ester-based racing oil from the 300V line (Motul ESTER Core technology) for petrol and diesel engines in tuned road cars and competition cars. The 10W-40 grade is meant for engines whose makers specify exactly this viscosity, including rebuilt and historic racing engines.
Motul claims no API or ACEA categories and no car-maker approvals, stating that the oil goes beyond current standards. According to Motul, it is compatible with fuels up to E85 and with particulate filters, and protects against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI).
Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 13.8 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 157, HTHS 4.3 mPa·s, pour point -24 °C. Available in 2 and 5 litres.
Application
Petrol and diesel engines in tuned road cars and competition cars, naturally aspirated, turbocharged or supercharged, injected or carburetted, where a 10W-40 viscosity is specified.
