Description

Liqui Moly Diesel Leichtlauf 10W-40 is a synthetic engine oil for passenger-car diesel engines. Its additive package is designed to cope with the higher soot loading typical of diesels.

It carries ACEA A3 and B4 and holds official MB 229.3 and VW 505.00 approvals. According to the manufacturer, it also meets MB 229.1, PSA B71 2294 and Renault RN0710 without formal approval.

Typical data-sheet figures: viscosity 14.5 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 155, HTHS at least 3.5 mPa·s, base number 11, NOACK 11 %, pour point -36 °C. Pack sizes from 1 to 60 litres.

With sulphated ash of 1.0-1.6 %, it is a full-SAPS oil, not a low-SAPS one.

Application

Naturally aspirated and turbocharged passenger-car diesel engines, including TDI and common-rail units, with or without an intercooler, where a full-SAPS 10W-40 oil is permitted.
