Description
Motul 6100 SAVE-LITE 5W-30 is a synthetic fuel-saving engine oil from the 6100 range, built on a Technosynthese base, for modern petrol and petrol-hybrid engines. It protects against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI), which matters in turbocharged direct-injection engines.
The oil is rated API SP and ILSAC GF-6A; the data sheet lists no manufacturer approvals.
Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 10.5 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 156, HTHS viscosity 3.2 mPa·s, pour point -45 °C, sulphated ash 0.72 %. Available in 1 and 4 litre packs.
It is for petrol engines only.
Application
Modern petrol and petrol-hybrid engines where the manufacturer calls for an API SP or ILSAC GF-6A oil with an HTHS viscosity of at least 2.9 mPa·s.
