Motul 8100 ECO-LITE 0W-20

Description

Motul 8100 ECO-LITE 0W-20 is a fully synthetic fuel-saving engine oil from the 8100 range for petrol engines. It protects turbocharged direct-injection engines against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI).

The oil is rated API SQ RC and ILSAC GF-7A. It holds no formal approvals: the maker states that it meets the requirements of GM dexos1 Gen 3, Ford WSS-M2C947-A, Ford WSS-M2C947-B1, Ford WSS-M2C962-A1, Chrysler MS-6395 and Fiat 9.55535-CR1.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 8.4 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 162, HTHS viscosity 2.6 mPa·s, pour point -42 °C, sulphated ash 0.84 %. Pack sizes from 1 to 208 litres.

Application

Modern petrol engines, naturally aspirated or turbocharged, with direct or port injection, that need a 0W-20 oil to API or ILSAC standards, including many Asian and American makes.
