Description

Motul GEAR 300 75W-90 is a fully synthetic gear oil built on the Ester Core ester base, with extreme-pressure additives. It is intended for gearboxes, transaxles, transfer boxes and hypoid axles in sports and high-performance road cars.

The oil is rated API GL-4 and API GL-5; the maker states that its performance exceeds the requirements of these categories. The data sheet lists no car-maker approvals.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 14.4 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 171, pour point -51 °C, flash point 206 °C. Available in 1 to 60 litres.

It is not intended for limited-slip differentials; for those the line offers a separate variant, Motul GEAR 300 LS 75W-90.

Application

Gearboxes, transaxles, transfer boxes and hypoid axles without a limited-slip differential in sports and high-performance cars where a 75W-90 GL-4 or GL-5 oil is suitable.
