Description

Motul GEARBOX 80W-90 is a mineral gear oil with extreme-pressure additives and molybdenum disulphide for heavy loads. It is intended for manual gearboxes, including noisy ones, as well as transaxles, transfer boxes and hypoid axles.

The oil is rated API GL-4 and API GL-5 and meets the MIL-L-2105D specification; the data sheet lists no car-maker approvals. It stays in grade after the 20-hour KRL shear test.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 21.7 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 157, pour point -24 °C, flash point 198 °C. Available in 1 litre.

It is not intended for axles with a limited-slip differential.

Application

Noisy or heavily loaded manual gearboxes, transaxles, transfer boxes and hypoid axles without a limited-slip differential.
