Description
NISMO COMPETITION OIL 2212E 15W-50 is a fully synthetic racing engine oil based on two types of ester, developed by Motul together with NISMO for Nissan's SR- and RB-series turbocharged engines. It also suits engines with nitrous oxide injection.
A high HTHS viscosity of about 5.3 mPa·s maintains a strong oil film at high temperatures; according to Motul, the oil withstands fuel dilution and holds oil pressure. No industry categories or approvals are stated.
Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 17.7 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 161, pour point -39 °C, flash point 230 °C, base number 10.1 mg KOH/g. Available in 1 and 5 litres.
Motul advises a racing drain interval of about 3,000 km.
Application
Nissan SR20DET, RB20DET, RB25DET and RB26DETT turbo engines in the Silvia/200SX, Skyline GT-R R32-R34 and similar models, including those with nitrous oxide injection.
