Description

Shell Helix Ultra Professional AM-L 5W-30 is a fully synthetic low-SAPS oil from the Helix Ultra Professional line for Mercedes-Benz and BMW petrol and diesel engines. Its low ash content makes it suitable for diesels fitted with a particulate filter.

The oil is rated API SN and ACEA C3 and holds official MB 229.51 and BMW Longlife-04 approvals.

Typical figures: 12.11 mm²/s at 100 °C, 69.02 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 174, pour point -45 °C, flash point 238 °C, density 836 kg/m³.

A footnote in the technical data sheet limits the BMW Longlife-04 approval for petrol engines to the EU, the EEA and Switzerland.

Application

Petrol and diesel engines in Mercedes-Benz and BMW cars, above all diesels with a particulate filter, where the manufacturer requires MB 229.51 or BMW Longlife-04.
