Castrol EDGE 5W-30 LL is a fully synthetic, mid-SAPS oil in the EDGE range for cars on extended (Longlife) drain intervals, where the vehicle manufacturer allows them.

It is rated ACEA C3 and holds official VW 504.00, VW 507.00, BMW Longlife-04, MB 229.51 and Porsche C30 approvals. According to the manufacturer, it meets the requirements of MB 229.31, VW 505.00 and VW 505.01 without formal approval.

Typical figures: 12.1 mm²/s at 100 °C, 69 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 173, sulphated ash 0.77 %, pour point -43 °C.
