Description

Shell Rimula R6 M 10W-40 is an engine oil for truck diesel engines on extended drain intervals. With a base number of 13 mg KOH/g and 1.5 % sulphated ash, it is unsuitable for particulate-filter engines.

Classes: ACEA E4 and E7, API CI-4, JASO DH-1. Approvals: CAT ECF-2, Cummins CES 20078, Deutz DQC IV-10, DTFR 15B120, Mack EO-N, MAN M 3277 and MAN M 3377, MTU Oil Category 3, Renault Trucks RLD-2, Voith Class B, Volvo VDS-3. It meets Iveco T3 E4 without a formal approval.

Typical figures: 13.2 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 160, flash point 256 °C. Shell suggests Rimula R6 MS for Scania, and Rimula R6 LM or Rimula Ultra for particulate-filter engines.

Application

Euro 4 and Euro 5 truck engines without a particulate filter from Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Volvo, Deutz, Cummins, Mack and other makers, on extended drain intervals.
