Description

BP Visco 5000 C 5W-40 is a synthetic (per BP) mid-SAPS oil from the Visco 5000 line for petrol and diesel cars with exhaust after-treatment.

It is classified to ACEA C3, API SN and API CF. It holds official approvals GM dexos2, MB 229.31, MB 229.51, VW 505.00 and VW 505.01, and meets the requirements of Ford WSS-M2C917-A and Fiat 9.55535-S2 without formal approval.

Typical figures from the data sheet: kinematic viscosity 13 mm²/s at 100 °C and 76 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 173, pour point -42 °C, sulphated ash 0.8 %.

The VW approvals cover diesels, including pump-injector units, on fixed service intervals, but not VW group cars with a particulate filter.
