Description

Castrol VECTON 10W-40 E4/E7 is a synthetic full-SAPS oil for truck diesel engines.

Classifications: ACEA E4 and E7, API CI-4, JASO DH-1. Official approvals: Cummins CES 20077, Cummins CES 20078, DDC Powerguard 93K215, Deutz DQC III-18, DTFR 15B120, Mack EO-N, MAN M 3277, MTU Oil Category 3, Renault Trucks RLD-2 and Volvo VDS-3. It meets the requirements of Ford WSS-M2C944-A without official approval.

Typical figures: 14.9 mm²/s at 100 °C, base number 13.2 mg KOH/g, sulphated ash 1.75 %, pour point -42 °C. The high base number is designed for extended drain intervals.

It is not suitable for engines that require a low-ash oil, including those fitted with a particulate filter.

Application

Euro II to Euro V truck diesel engines with EGR, an oxidation catalyst or SCR but no particulate filter, where ACEA E4 and E7 or MAN M 3277 are required.
