Liqui Moly Diesel Synthoil 5W-40

Description

Liqui Moly Diesel Synthoil 5W-40 is a fully synthetic oil from the Synthoil range aimed at passenger-car diesel engines, whether naturally aspirated or turbocharged, with or without direct injection. It is designed for extended drain intervals.

It is classified API CF and ACEA A3/B4. It holds no official approvals; according to the manufacturer, it meets the requirements of BMW Longlife-98, MB 229.3 and VW 505.00.

Its data sheet gives the same typical figures as Synthoil High Tech 5W-40: viscosity 14.8 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 170, HTHS at least 3.7 mPa·s, pour point -48 °C. With sulphated ash of 1.0-1.6 % (full SAPS), it is unsuitable for low-ash particulate-filter specifications. Pack sizes from 1 to 205 litres.

Application

Passenger-car diesel engines, naturally aspirated or turbocharged, with or without an intercooler and direct injection, including those on extended drain intervals.
