Description

Shell Helix HX8 ECT 5W-30 is a fully synthetic low-SAPS oil from the Helix HX8 line for modern cars with petrol engines, diesels fitted with a particulate filter and gas-fuelled engines.

The oil is rated API SN and ACEA C3 and holds official VW 504.00, VW 507.00, MB 229.31 and MB 229.51 approvals. It meets the requirements of BMW Longlife-04 without formal approval.

Typical figures: between 11.9 and 12.3 mm²/s at 100 °C, between 66 and 72 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 175, pour point -45 °C, flash point 238 °C.

Application

Modern cars with petrol engines, diesels fitted with a particulate filter and engines running on LPG or CNG.
