Description

Motul LPG-CNG 5W-30 is a Technosynthese synthetic engine oil developed for engines running on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), compressed natural gas (CNG) or in bi-fuel mode. It is intended for Euro 4-6 passenger cars.

The oil meets ACEA C3, and Motul claims API SN Plus as its performance level; no car-maker approvals are listed. Its mid-SAPS additive content makes it compatible with catalytic converters and particulate filters.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 12.1 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 161, HTHS 3.5 mPa·s, pour point -39 °C, base number 7.6 mg KOH/g, sulphated ash 0.70 %. Available in 4 litres.

Application

Euro 4-6 passenger cars with a catalytic converter or particulate filter running on LPG, CNG or bi-fuel (petrol and gas), where an ACEA C3 or API SN Plus oil is required.
