Description

Motul 2100 PROTECT ECO 5W-30 is a Technosynthese synthetic engine oil from the 2100 line, formulated for low friction and fuel economy. It is intended for direct- and port-injection petrol engines in cars and light trucks of Asian makes, including Hyundai, Isuzu, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota.

The oil is rated ACEA A5/B5 and meets API SN except for the phosphorus limit; the data sheet lists no car-maker approvals. It runs on petrol, LPG, CNG, ethanol blends and biofuels.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 12.2 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 161, pour point -36 °C, base number 10.4 mg KOH/g. Available in 1 and 4 litres.

Application

Cars and light trucks of Asian makes (Hyundai, Isuzu, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Toyota) with direct- or port-injection petrol engines, with or without a catalytic converter.
