Description
Elf Sporti 9 5W-40 is a Sporti engine oil for petrol and diesel passenger cars, synthetic according to its maker. It is also intended for severe operating conditions and for extended change intervals where the carmaker allows them.
The oil is rated API SN, API CF and ACEA A3/B4. It meets the requirements of MB 229.3, VW 502.00, VW 505.00, Renault RN0700 and Renault RN0710 without official approvals.
Typical data-sheet figures: kinematic viscosity 14.9 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 173, pour point -42 °C, base number 9.7 mg KOH/g. Available in 1 and 5 litre packs.
This is a full-ash oil and is not intended for engines that require a low-ash (Low SAPS) oil.
