Description
Liqui Moly Optimal New Generation 5W-40 is a synthetic low-SAPS oil for petrol and diesel engines with or without a particulate filter, and for cars running on CNG or LPG. The manufacturer has tested it with turbochargers and catalytic converters.
It carries ACEA C3 and API SN/SP. It holds no official approvals and meets MB 229.31 without formal approval.
Typical figures: viscosity 14.3 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 170, HTHS at least 3.5 mPa·s, NOACK 12 %, pour point -36 °C, sulphated ash no more than 0.8 %. The data sheet gives the same figures as for Leichtlauf Performance 5W-40. Pack sizes 1 and 4 litres.
