Description

Liqui Moly Optimal Synth 5W-40 is a synthetic full-SAPS all-season engine oil for petrol and diesel car engines.

It carries API SP and CF and ACEA A3 and B4. It holds no official approvals; the manufacturer states that it meets the requirements of BMW Longlife-98, MB 229.3, VW 502.00 and VW 505.00, GM-LL-A-025 and GM-LL-B-025, and Renault RN0700 and Renault RN0710, and also recommends it for AVTOVAZ vehicles.

Typical data-sheet figures: viscosity 13.9 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 170, HTHS above 3.5 mPa·s, pour point -36 °C, sulphated ash 1.0-1.6 %. Pack sizes from 1 to 205 litres.

Application

All-season use in petrol and diesel car engines, including multi-valve, turbocharged and intercooled units, where an ACEA A3 and B4 oil is permitted.
