Description

Liqui Moly Molygen New Generation 5W-40 is a full-SAPS engine oil for petrol and diesel car engines, containing the Molygen additive, which the manufacturer says reduces friction.

It carries ACEA A3 and B4 and API SN. The manufacturer lists no official approvals for it; instead it states that the oil meets MB 229.5, VW 502.00 and VW 505.00, BMW Longlife-01, Porsche A40, Renault RN0700 and Renault RN0710, GM-LL-B-025, Fiat 9.55535-H2, Fiat 9.55535-N2 and Fiat 9.55535-Z2, and the recommendations of GWM and HAVAL.

Typical figures: viscosity 14.5 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 170, HTHS at least 3.5 mPa·s. Pack sizes from 1 to 205 litres. With sulphated ash of 1.0-1.6 %, this is not a low-SAPS oil.

Application

Modern petrol and diesel engines, turbocharged or not, where an ACEA A3 and B4 oil is permitted, including under extended drain intervals and high loads.
