Description

Motul 300V COMPETITION 5W-50 is a fully synthetic, ester-based racing oil from the 300V line (Motul ESTER Core technology) for petrol and diesel engines in tuned road cars and competition cars. The 5W-50 grade gives a thicker film in a hot engine while keeping a 5W cold rating.

Motul claims no API or ACEA categories and no car-maker approvals, stating that the oil goes beyond current standards. According to Motul, it is compatible with fuels up to E85 and with particulate filters, and protects against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI).

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 17.9 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 190, HTHS 5 mPa·s, pour point -45 °C. Available in 2 litres.

Application

Petrol and diesel engines in tuned road cars and competition cars, naturally aspirated, turbocharged or supercharged, injected or carburetted.
