Description

Motul 6100 SYN-CLEAN 5W-40 is a synthetic mid-SAPS engine oil from the 6100 line for Euro 4-6 petrol and diesel cars that need ACEA C3 with high HTHS viscosity. It is compatible with diesel particulate filters.

The oil is rated ACEA C3 and API SN. There are no official approvals; the maker claims it meets the requirements of BMW Longlife-04, MB 229.51, VW 505.00, VW 505.01, GM dexos2, Renault RN0700, Renault RN0710 and Ford WSS-M2C917-A. The BMW Longlife-04 claim covers only cars up to a certain model year.

Typical figures: viscosity 14.4 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 170, HTHS 3.6 mPa·s, sulphated ash 0.81 %, pour point -36 °C. Available in 1 to 60 litres.
