Description
Mobil Delvac Modern 5W-30 Fuel Efficient Plus V1 is a synthetic-technology oil with reduced high-temperature, high-shear (HTHS) viscosity, intended for the latest fuel-saving truck and bus diesels.
The record lists no official approvals. ExxonMobil recommends it where MB 228.61, Volvo VDS-5, Renault Trucks RLD-5 or API FA-4 is required, and the oil meets those requirements without formal approval.
HTHS 3 mPa·s, NOACK volatility 10.4 %, sulphated ash 1 %, base number 12.4 mg KOH/g, 10 mm²/s at 100 °C.
It is not backward compatible: the oil is not used in older diesel engines.
Application
The latest fuel-saving truck and bus engines: Volvo D13 Euro 6D, Mercedes-Benz OM 470 FE1 and OM 471 FE1 (also OM 470/471/473 off-road), Renault Trucks DTi 13 Step-D and engines designed for API FA-4.
