Description

Motul 8100 X-CLEAN GEN2 5W-40 is a fully synthetic mid-SAPS engine oil from the 8100 line and an updated version of X-CLEAN 5W-40. It is intended for modern petrol and diesel car engines and is safe for particulate filters and catalytic converters.

It is rated ACEA C3 and API SP and holds official BMW Longlife-04, MB 226.5, MB 229.52, Renault RN0700 and Renault RN0710 approvals. It meets the requirements of Opel OV0401547-G40 and Opel OV0401547-D40 without official approval.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 13.3 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 180, HTHS 3.9 mPa·s, pour point -45 °C, base number 9.4 mg KOH/g, sulphated ash 0.77 %. Available in 1 to 208 litres.

Application

Modern petrol and diesel cars with exhaust after-treatment systems, where the manufacturer requires ACEA C3 and a BMW, Mercedes-Benz or Renault approval.
