Description

Motul 8100 X-CESS 5W-30 is a fully synthetic engine oil from the 8100 line with a full-SAPS additive package. It is intended for petrol and diesel car engines, including large-displacement and turbocharged units, and is suitable for petrol, diesel, LPG, ethanol blends and biofuels.

It is rated ACEA A3/B4 and API SL and holds official BMW Longlife-01, MB 226.5, MB 229.5, VW 502.00, VW 505.00, Renault RN0700 and Renault RN0710 approvals.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 12 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 166, HTHS 3.5 mPa·s, base number 12.5 mg KOH/g, sulphated ash 1.07 %. Available in 1 to 208 litres.

It is not intended for engines with a particulate filter that need a low-SAPS oil.

Application

Petrol and diesel cars, including large-displacement and turbocharged engines with direct or port injection, where the manufacturer requires ACEA A3/B4 and one of the listed approvals.
