Description

Motul 8100 X-MAX 0W-40 is a fully synthetic engine oil from the 8100 range with a full-SAPS additive package and a high base number. It is designed for high-performance petrol and diesel engines, including in cold climates.

It is rated ACEA A3/B4 and API SP. Official approvals cover MB 229.5, VW 502.00, VW 505.00, Ford WSS-M2C937-A and BMW Longlife-01; it meets the requirements of Fiat 9.55535-M2, Fiat 9.55535-N2, Fiat 9.55535-Z2, Chrysler MS-12991 and Renault RN0710 without formal approval.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 13.9 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 178, HTHS viscosity 3.6 mPa·s, pour point -48 °C, base number 12.3 mg KOH/g, sulphated ash 1.06 %. Available in 1, 4, 5 and 208 litre packs.
