Description

Shell Helix Extra ECT 5W-40 is a fully synthetic low-SAPS oil from the Helix Extra line, which sits between Helix Ultra and Helix HX in the Shell range. It is aimed at the workshop servicing of cars roughly four years old or more that have exhaust after-treatment systems.

The oil is rated API SN and ACEA C3 and holds official MB 229.51, BMW Longlife-04 and Renault RN0710 approvals. It meets the requirements of Renault RN0700, GM dexos2 and Fiat 9.55535-S2 without formal approval.

Typical figures: 14 mm²/s at 100 °C, 84.7 mm²/s at 40 °C, pour point -36 °C, flash point 236 °C.

Application

Cars roughly four years old or more, fitted with exhaust after-treatment systems and serviced at a workshop.
