Description

Shell Helix Ultra ECT Multi 5W-40 is a fully synthetic oil, low in sulphated ash, phosphorus and sulphur, for petrol, diesel and gas car engines with a particulate filter and catalytic converter. It is used where a 5W-40 to ACEA C3 is required, above all under Porsche C40 and VW 511.00.

The oil is rated ACEA C3 and API SN and holds official Porsche C40, VW 511.00, MB 229.31, MB 229.51, BMW Longlife-04, Renault RN0700 and Renault RN0710 approvals.

Typical figures: 14 mm²/s at 100 °C, 84.7 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 171, pour point -36 °C, flash point 236 °C.

Application

Petrol, diesel and gas engines in cars with exhaust after-treatment that need a C3 5W-40 oil, notably to Porsche C40 and VW 511.00.
