Description

Shell Helix Ultra ECT Multi 5W-30 is a fully synthetic oil, low in sulphated ash, phosphorus and sulphur, for petrol, diesel and gas car engines. A single oil covers several European car makers' long-life requirements (BMW, Mercedes-Benz, the VW group and Porsche) and is suitable for diesels with a particulate filter.

The oil is rated ACEA C3 and API SP and holds official VW 504.00, VW 507.00, BMW Longlife-04, MB 229.51 and Porsche C30 approvals. It meets the requirements of MB 229.52 without formal approval.

Typical figures: 11.8 mm²/s at 100 °C, 66.8 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 174, pour point -45 °C, flash point 234 °C.

Application

Petrol, diesel and gas engines in European cars with extended drain intervals, including diesels with a particulate filter.
