Description

Shell Helix Ultra 5W-30 is a fully synthetic oil for petrol, diesel and gas engines in cars without a particulate filter. It can be used with biodiesel and petrol-ethanol blends.

The oil is rated ACEA A3/B3 and ACEA A3/B4 and carries an API SL licence; Shell states that in engine tests it performs at API SN level. Official approvals: BMW Longlife-01, MB 226.5, MB 229.5, VW 502.00, VW 505.00, Renault RN0700 and Renault RN0710.

Typical figures: 11.77 mm²/s at 100 °C, 66.34 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 176, pour point -39 °C, flash point 237 °C.

As a full-SAPS A3/B4 oil, it is not intended for diesels with a particulate filter.

Application

Petrol, diesel and gas engines in cars without a particulate filter; biodiesel and petrol-ethanol blends are permitted.
