Description

Shell Helix Ultra 0W-40 is a fully synthetic oil for petrol, diesel and gas engines in cars without a particulate filter. It is designed for very hot or very cold climates and severe service, protects turbocharged direct-injection engines against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) and suits many hybrids.

The oil is rated API SP, ACEA A3/B3 and ACEA A3/B4 and holds official MB 226.5, MB 229.5, VW 502.00, VW 505.00, Renault RN0700 and Renault RN0710 approvals.

Typical figures: 13.1 mm²/s at 100 °C, 74.2 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 180, pour point -42 °C, flash point 230 °C.

As a full-SAPS A3/B4 oil, it is not intended for diesels with a particulate filter.

Application

Petrol, diesel and gas engines in cars without a particulate filter, including turbocharged direct-injection engines, in very hot or cold climates and severe service.
