Description

Shell Rimula R5 LM 10W-40 is a Rimula engine oil for truck and bus diesel engines. It is low in sulphated ash, phosphorus and sulphur and is designed for extended drain intervals, particularly in Mercedes-Benz engines.

The oil is rated ACEA E6 and E8 and holds the official DTFR 15C110 approval.

Typical figures: 14.5 mm²/s at 100 °C, 98.8 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 152, base number 10.4 mg KOH/g, sulphated ash 1 %, pour point -42 °C, flash point 232 °C, density 866 kg/m³.

Application

Modern diesel engines in European trucks and buses, above all Mercedes-Benz, and other engines that call for ACEA E8, on extended drain intervals.
